Liverpool FC
Hall of Fame

Billy LiddellWelcome to the Liverpool FC Hall of Fame - your place to vote for your favourite LFC players of all time.

We're lucky to have had some great players represent us over the years, from legends such as Billy Liddell (so good they even nicknamed the club Liddell-pool!), through the longest serving player Ian Callaghan, to modern day legends like Steven Gerrard.

John BarnesAnd that's not to mention Sir Kenny Dalglish, a player so beloved we named a stand after him. The list is truly endless and the number of great men to wear the shirt makes it an almost impossible task to pick only eleven.

For now, as a first draft, the list has been whittled down to a select few for each position. No doubt though, there will inevitably be disagreement about some of the names missing. Shortly, the ability to request additional players will be added to the site (please don't be offended when you find your request for Torben Piechnik or Djimi Traore doesn't come through though).

Ray ClemenceFor those of you wondering about certain high profile omissions, there is one key rule for eligibility - any player must have retired from the sport at least ten years ago to qualify for the hall of fame (effectively to prevent recency bias). So this means that, for example, Jamie Carragher having retired in 2013 will have to wait until 2023, and Steven Gerrard will have to wait until 2026 having only retired in 2016.

And, as calm as he may be, Virgil van Dijk will be waiting quite some time before he can be voted in...
